This was the final group picture of the children living at Wat Opot. A few days later Mr. Dara and the reintegration team would begin taking children back to their homeland to live with their families or relatives.

For some, the change will be good, for they will have the opportunity to use, what they have learned at Wat Opot, to help improve the conditions of their home environment.

For others, things may not turn out as well. The problems that brought them to us may resurface and what was gained at Wat Opot will be lost.

Within the next few days, the reintegration process should be completed for those who have families. The remaining children will be sent to a different organization until Social Services can find placements. Efforts are now being made to start a new organization to support all of these children in the coming months and years but the papers have not yet been finalized.
