A BUSY DAY IN PREY VENG

The SAHAKA FOUNDATION’s (SF) Pre-school in Prey Veng was honored to receive a visit from old friends and former NGO workers in Cambodia, Frida de Boer and Wilco Schijff, accompanied by Mr. Piseth of the COLT organization. They brought with them a generous supply of toys and food for the children, as well as a substantial donation. The Kim Keo Nimol family also contributed to the donation of food.

The children were allowed to show off what they had been learning.

There were snacks for everyone as we set things up for the group photo.

But what the kids really wanted was an opportunity to break in the new toys.

In the afternoon, the SAHAKA team went to a scheduled meeting with the village chiefs and government services workers to talk with the 15 families that have been selected for the 2026 school year.

Dara gave a slide presentation on the SAHAKA FOUNDATION and explained our intentions as well as our expectations of the students who have been chosen.

Another good day in the countryside that ended with a long trip back to Phnom Penh and the hustle and bustle of city life. We are very appreciative of the support we have already received. Without it, we could not be making these life-changing opportunities for the children and families of Cambodia.

The SAHAKA donation page is up to date for those who may want to help us in this coming year with a tax-deductible donation. If you live in Cambodia, you can make a QR donation to the SAHAKA FOUNDATION bank account.
