On Monday we were on the road again, crossing the Mekong River at Neak Loeung for the second time in just a few days.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n

I wasn’t sure the girls would remember me after four years… but they did, and we were pleased with the progress they are making.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n

One of the nice things about visiting the countryside is the delicacies they prepare for you, even though you insist that it is not necessary.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n

Yum-yum… fried baby frog, I haven’t had that for some time.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n

On Tuesday we were back at the Wat Opot compound to pick up some things for the Phnom Penh residence and met these alumni who were getting their school transfer papers and decided to have lunch together.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Wednesday we were back on the road once again, visiting another six children. Much of the road was under construction, however, and it took a toll on not only Dara and myself but the car as well.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What started out as a low steady hum eventually became a CLUNK, CLUNK, CLUNK in the front wheels. We stopped at a mechanic and he assured us that it would be alright to continue if we drove very slow. I was not too sure he knew what he was talking about but Dara did as he said and eventually, we crawled into Phnom Penh.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n

This weekend several of the high school students, who were residents at Wat Opot, will attend an ANGER MANAGEMENT training in Phnom Penh and so we have a CO-ED houseful of residents at the moment.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
