This was not how I had planned it when we started out some years ago. Wat Opot was to be a permanent home for its residents, and me. Things don’t always go as planned, however. and although I am disappointed in losing Wat Opot as our home, I am also very grateful for the many wonderful relationships that were formed with children, staff, volunteers, and supporters. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pictures say a thousand words, but they also open a flood of memories, good, bad, happy, and sad. Memories of times we worked together… there was nothing we couldn’t do.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

But we also played together when our work was finished and on days there was no school.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And when needed we prayed or sat in silent meditation at the end of each day.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So many memories for us to hold on to… but there are still more memories to make. Wat Opot may have been our home but Watopotia is not a place, it is a way of living and this website is dedicated to all who have become Watopotians.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
